About PHD
PHD is a not-for-profit organization, working in Bangladesh for more than 3 decades towards improving the life of the people, particularly of marginalized and the less privileged. PHD works in partnerships for implementing development programs, and delivers technical assistance to government sectors and development actors in managing funds, strengthening systems, developing HR, building organizational capacity, conducting research & evaluation, implementing humanitarian response, livelihood programs and building professional.

Our Journey
1993 — Founded
PHD was established as a national NGO focused on public health and community development in Bangladesh.
2000 — Health Programs
Expanded reproductive health and HIV/AIDS prevention programs across multiple districts.
2010 — Humanitarian Response
Became a key humanitarian responder during major cyclones and floods, serving vulnerable communities.
2017 — Rohingya Crisis
Led large-scale health and WASH response for Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar.
2020 — COVID-19 Pandemic
Rapid pandemic response providing testing, awareness, and vaccination support across Bangladesh.
2024 — Climate Resilience
Launched comprehensive climate adaptation and resilience programs for coastal communities.
